PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code reading device that not only satisfactorily achieves collective reading of identification codes and acquisition of positional information on tubes but also is readily adaptable to storage objects in diverse modes while realizing simplification of a device structure, processing time saving and cost reduction.SOLUTION: A code reading device 10 comprising a supporting base 20, a rack stage 30 having a rack installation part 31, a plurality of code readers 40 arranged away from the rack stage 30 in the Z-axis direction, a blindfold member 50 arranged between the rack stage 30 and the code reader 40, and Y-axis direction shifting means 70. In the code reading device, the code readers 40 are arranged in the Y-axis direction; in the blindfold member 50 a plurality of through holes 51 are bored arrayed in the Y-axis direction; and the Y-axis direction shifting means 70 is so configured as to be able to shift back and forth at least one of the rack stage 30, the code reader 40 and the blindfold 50 toward or away from the supporting base 20 in the Y-axis direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
