The present invention addresses the problem of providing: expanded beads which have excellent in-mold moldability and are capable of producing a molded expanded-bead object that has an excellent balance among lightweight property, flexibility, resilience, recovery, and tensile property; and a molded expanded-bead object obtained from the expanded beads. The present invention is crosslinked expanded beads obtained by crosslinking and expanding particles of a multi-block copolymer comprising a polyethylene block and an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer block, wherein the multi-block copolymer has a melt flow rate, as measured at 190°C and a load of 2.16 kg, of 2-10 g/10 min and a Shore A hardness, as measured in accordance with ASTM D2240, of 65-90, the crosslinked expanded beads having a gel content, as determined by a hot-xylene extraction method, of 30-60%. The molded expanded-bead object according to the present invention is obtained by subjecting the crosslinked expanded beads according to the present invention to in-mold molding. The molded expanded-bead object according to the present invention has an apparent density of 40-150 g/L. |
