PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-crosslinked polyethylene based resin foamed body provided with high heat-insulation property, heat-resistance, low temperature brittleness and recycling property, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The high-density polyethylene based resin R having melting tension of 80 mN or higher at 160°C is subjected to extrusion foaming under the condition that a foaming agent is made to carbon dioxide, an amount of carbon dioxide fed to an extruder 2 is made to a range of 6-7 wt.%, and a resin temperature at extrusion is made to a range of -9 to -7°C of a melting point of the resin R.
