PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform printing with no trouble even when a print condition data can not be read out from the memory in a recording sheet cartridge or an error is resent in the print condition data. SOLUTION: A recording sheet cartridge 2 is provided with an EEPROM 24 storing a print condition data. When the recording sheet cartridge 2 is loaded to a printer 1, the print condition data is readout from the EEPROM 24. When it is read out normally, printing is performed based on the print condition data and when the data can not be read out because a contact is contaminated or an error is present in the data, a previous print condition data is readout from an EEPROM 67 in the printer 1 and printing is performed. When the previous print condition data not stored in the EEPROM 67, printing is performed based on a default print condition data prestored in the EEPROM 67. The used print condition data is stored in the EEPROMs 24, 67 for next time printing. |
