GEOGRID REINFORCED STONE COLUMN AND STONE COLUMN METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION

A geogrid reinforced stone column and a stone column method are provided to increase the bonding force of the macadam and the crushed pebbles and preclude the column from being expanded by using the geogrid of the reticulated structure. A geogrid reinforced stone column method is composed of a first step of intruding a stone column(10) at the support layer of the lower part of the soft ground; a second step of lowering the geogrid shaped like a reticulated structure and formed like a cylinder to have a predetermined height and the internal diameter of the column in the column intruded at the support layer and of filling the inside of the geogrid with the aggregate; and a third step of compacting or vibration-compacting the filled aggregate to make the geogrid reinforced stone column. The additional geotextile is lowered in the geogrid, and then the aggregate is filled.
