<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even an aged person to effectively use a handrail by arranging recessed/projecting gripping parts at prescribed intervals on a handrail body composed of a bar-shaped body installed on stairs and a slope, and preventing slipping when gripping the handrail. SOLUTION: A handrail for assisting the passing of an aged person, a physically handicapped person and a wheelchair user by being arranged on the side and in the central vicinity of indoor and outdoor stairs and a steep slope is constituted by installing plural gripping part 12 on a handrail body 10 composed of a stainless steel pipe and a wooden bar-shaped body. An installing interval between the gripping parts 12 is set to a degree that an aged person can grip the adjacent gripping part 12 by the other hand while gripping one gripping part 12 by one hand in stairs, and is also set in a position for enabling hands to reach the other gripping part 12 in a state where a physically handicapped person approaches his/her body by gripping one gripping part 12. The gripping part (an antislipping member) 12 can be optionally selected from a ring-shaped and a synthetic resin having a recess/projection part to thereby secure safety for going up and down the stairs.</p> |
