COLLECTOR, NEGATIVE ELECTRODE, AND SECONDARY BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery which can be improved in cycle characteristic.

SOLUTION: The secondary battery comprises a positive electrode 21, a negative electrode 22 and electrolyte solution, and a separator 23 formed between the positive electrode 21 and the negative electrode 22 is impregnate with the electrolyte solution. The negative electrode 22 includes a negative electrode collector 22A and a negative electrode active material layer 22B formed thereon. The negative electrode collector 22A contains copper, and ratio I(200)/I(111) of peak intensity I(200) arising from a crystal face (200) of copper of X-ray diffraction to peak intensity I(111) arising from a crystal face (111) is in the range between 0.5 and 1.5. Adhesion of the negative electrode collector 22A to the negative electrode active material layer 22B is move improved than the case where the intensity ratio I(200)/I(111) is out of the range.
