PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a free cutting phosphor bronze bar wire rod not only capable of being an alternative for a part of free cutting beryllium copper alloy bar wire rod by enhancing strength, but also good in cold processability and capable of providing desired machinability even with a reduced content of lead.SOLUTION: The problem is achieved by a free cutting phosphor bronze bar wire rod consisting of Ni of 0.3 to 1.5 wt.%, Pb of 0.1 to 0.7 wt.%, Sn of 7.0 to 9.0 wt.%, P of 0.03 to 0.35 wt.%, and the balance Cu with inevitable impurities.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
