PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive normality/abnormality monitoring device having a simple structure, applicable to a means for detecting and transmitting normality/abnormality of every monitoring object, without requiring a complicated and expensive transmission facility, while thereby sweeping away a noise problem generated from the transmission facility. SOLUTION: In an abnormality monitoring system for transmitting by radio a normality/abnormality detection output S1 from an abnormality detection sensor 1 to a remote receiving means, an elastic surface wave element 7 is used as a means for transmitting the detection output S1 from the abnormality detection sensor 1 to the receiving means, and the detection output S1 from the abnormality detection sensor 1 is applied to a bending driving means 11 of the elastic surface wave element 7, and the elastic surface wave element 7 is bent corresponding to the detection output S1 from the abnormality detection sensor 1 by the bending driving means 11, to thereby constitute this normality/abnormality monitoring device capable of transmitting a signal having a frequency corresponding to the detection output S1 from the elastic surface wave element 7 to the receiving means by extending/reducing fluctuation of an electrode interval of the elastic surface wave element 7 by bending.
