<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fusible printing medium which presents desirable characteristics possessed by a porous medium and a swelling one, and has a short drying-time, and shows a high resistance to smear, fading, water and humidity. <P>SOLUTION: The fusible printing medium (2) is formed with a photography base layer (4), a vehicle sink layer (6) and a colorant accepting layer (8). The colorant accepting layer (8) contains core-shell polymer particles (10) consisting of a hydrophilic shell and a hydrophobic core. If disposed to sufficient heat, the colorant accepting layer (8) is converted into a continuous layer from a porous hydrophilic surface, at that time the capsule sealing of the colorant is made within the hydrophilic domain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
