<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner capable of effectively removing bacteria or odor components adhering to the surfaces of parts such as a filter and a blowing fan and to the inside of a body case by slightly modifying a conventional air cleaner. <P>SOLUTION: The air cleaner is provided with a feed passage for communicating between the downstream side of a filter and an air outlet and for discharging air cleaned with a filter during the operation of the air cleaner from an air outlet, a bypass passage for communicating between the feed passage and the upstream side of the filter and for returning air cleaned with the filter during cleaning operation to the upstream side of the filter, a switch means for switching air flow, and a disinfecting substance generator. During air cleaning operation, air is discharged from the air outlet and during the cleaning operation, air is returned to the upstream side of the filter to operate the disinfecting substance generator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
