PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress influences of disturbance light when an image is displayed by scanning a screen with projected image light. SOLUTION: In an image projection method comprising displaying an image by scanning a screen 300 with projected image light 201, the image is displayed by controlling the reflectance of a region 312 where the screen 300 is scanned with the image light 201 to be higher compared with the reflectance of regions 301 to 311 and 313 to 316 where the screen is not scanned with the image light.
