PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive rubber composition having excellent initial adhesiveness to a steel cord, etc., and adhesiveness after wet-heat aging treatment and producible without deteriorating the working environment. SOLUTION: The adhesive rubber composition is produced from a rubber component containing≥5 mass% modified natural rubber obtained by the graft polymerization or addition reaction of a natural rubber with a compound containing a disubstituted or trisubstituted benzene ring having at least one hydroxy group as the substituent, by compounding 100 pts.mass of the rubber component with 1-10 pts.mass of sulfur and 0.03-1 pt.mass (in terms of cobalt) of an organic acid cobalt salt.
