PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable good crystallization without causing growth striation by controlling Marangoni convection in a crystallization material in a molten state to a regular convection state. SOLUTION: A crystallization material 10 having a Prandtl number of 5 or higher in a molten state is subjected to perimeter heating with a first heating medium 16 to form a molten range 10B and then is subjected in a molten state to perimeter heating with a second heating medium 18 to relatively displace the heated range to the longitudinal direction of the crystallization material. Heating with the first heating medium 16 is carried out so that the Marangoni number: Ma of the molten range 10B satisfies the relation: Macr1≤Ma≤Macr2 (wherein Macr1 is an oscillating critical Marangoni number; and Macr2 is a turbulent critical Marangoni number), and the crystallization is performed while Marangoni convection in the molten range 10B is controlled to a regular convection state by controlling the heating with the second heating means 18.
