摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical scanner in which a stable synchronization detection signal is obtained even for a plurality of luminous flux without incurring the cost increase of a synchronization detection element. SOLUTION: The optical scanner includes: an LD array 2 which simultaneously radiates a plurality of the luminous flux; a polygon mirror 10 which deflects the plurality of luminous flux in a main scanning direction Y; scanning lenses 15 and 16 which image the luminous flux deflected with the polygon mirror 10 onto a face to be scanned (photoreceptor drum); a synchronization detection optical sensor 23 for detecting the write position of an image in the main scanning direction Y. A diaphragm 4 is arranged between the LD array 2 and the polygon mirror 10 so that the image 4a of the diaphragm is located in the vicinity of an optical sensor 23 in the optical path leading to the optical sensor 23.
