Polyurethane molded articles are produced by adding a polyurethane-forming mixture that includes a foam stabilizer and a gas to a part comprising a sandwich comprising a core layer and two reinforcing fiber covering layers or a reinforcing fiber mat, placing the part in a mold, maintaining the mold at a temperature of 40-160[deg]C to mold the part and harden the polyurethane-forming mixture and thus form a molded article, removing the molded article from the mold, and optionally, post-treating the molded article. An independent claim is also included for a structural component, such as liner, of an automobile comprising a molded article produced by the inventive process. |
