PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter which facilitates mounting of a needle assembly to a retractable syringe.SOLUTION: An adapter mountable on a cylindrical retractable syringe barrel comprises a body that includes a needle portion and a barrel-engaging portion. The adapter is engageable with a needle seal, which releasably engages with a needle body of a needle assembly of the retractable syringe and seals an inside wall of the syringe barrel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
