PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse power supply circuit which can eliminate the cumulative accumulation of inductive energy generated by a residual current and can obtain a stable pulse output. SOLUTION: A first pulse power supply circuit 10A has a transformer 14 and a switch SW which are connected in series to both ends of a DC power supply 12. When the accumulation of inductive energy to the transformer 14 accompanied by the on-operation of the switch SW, and the generation of a high-voltage pulse at the secondary side of the transformer 14 accompanied by the off-operation of the switch SW are set to be one cycle, the circuit repeats the cycle and continuously outputs a plurality of high voltage pulses. A peak value Ip1 of a current I1 flowing to the primary side of the transformer 14 is controlled to become constant. More concretely, the circuit has a current detecting means 22 detecting the current I1 flowing to the primary side of the transformer 14 and a third circuit 24c turning off the switch SW in a stage when a value of the current I1 detected in the current detecting means 22 becomes the peak value Ip1.
