The present invention relates to a system and a method for copying an authentication certificate using an image code, which can copy an authentication certificate between user terminals without a risk of exposure of the authentication certificate. The system for copying an authentication certificate according to an embodiment of the present technology may comprise an authentication certificate copying service server which is connected to a first user terminal having an authentication certificate and a second user terminal having an image code photographing function over a communication network; in response to an authentication certificate copying request from the first user terminal, generates an image code including part of authentication certificate information received from the first user terminal to provide the image code to the first user terminal; and transmits the remainder of the authentication certificate information to the second user terminal when the second user terminal photographs the image code displayed on the first user terminal and establishes connection.
