TINNITUS REHABILITATION DEVICE AND METHOD

A method and device for managing irritating auditory phenomena, such as tinnitus and hyperacusis. A managing signal is generated in which frequency components in the managing signal in a frequency range where a listener has reduced hearing are accentuated. Any unpleasant characteristic in the managing signal is ameliorated by including coherent signal components within a general listening range of the listener.
