<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skew failure detection circuit and a skew failure detection method by which the skew failure of a high speed data transmitter can be detected with a simple circuit. <P>SOLUTION: Outputs S01, S02, S03 of serializers 101, 102, 103 are input, respectivey, as clocks of flip-flops 11, 12, 13 serially connected between an input TIN1 and an output TOUT1, and outputs S03, S02, S01 of the serializers 101, 102, 103 are input, respectively, as clocks of flip-flops 21, 22, 23 serially connected between an input TIN2 and an output TOUT2. A test data generation part 3 generates pieces of parallel data TP1, TP2, TP3 for operating the flip-flops 11-13 and the flip-flops 21-23 as shift registers to be output to the serializers 101, 102, 103. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
