The connector assembly (1) comprises two tube end sections (2, 3), and a profile clamp (4), which comprises a clamp band (5) with a bottom and two inclined side walls (7, 8), between which an annular sealing member is arranged. The tube end sections comprise a circumferential, outwardly projecting bead at their mutually facing ends, and have the same diameter. The ends of the side walls engage behind the beads on opposite sides. A distance is selected between the beads such that the ends of the side walls of the tube end sections are radially spaced. The sealing member comprises an insertion sleeve at a radial inner side, where the sleeve axially overlaps a gap between the tube end sections, and a ring element at the radially inner side, where the ring element extends into the gap between the tube end sections.
