The connector assembly (1) comprises two tube end sections (2, 3), and a profile clamp (4), which comprises a clamp band (5) with a bottom and two inclined side walls (7, 8), between which an annular sealing member is arranged. The tube end sections comprise a circumferential, outwardly projecting bead at their mutually facing ends, and have the same diameter. The ends of the side walls engage behind the beads on opposite sides. A distance is selected between the beads such that the ends of the side walls of the tube end sections are radially spaced. The sealing member comprises an insertion sleeve at a radial inner side, where the sleeve axially overlaps a gap between the tube end sections, and a ring element at the radially inner side, where the ring element extends into the gap between the tube end sections. The ring element is integrally formed with the sealing element. An independent claim is included for a method of manufacturing a connector assembly. |
