Provided are an oil concentration measurement device and method that make it possible to measure oil concentration over a wide concentration range and can thus be applied to constant oil concentration measurement. The absorbance spectrum of a liquid to be measured containing a known oil component is measured within a prescribed wavelength band within which light absorption is observed (S2, S3); if a prescribed standard is satisfied, an oil concentration value is determined on the basis of the absorption of a prescribed wavelength within the prescribed wavelength band and a first calibration curve indicating the relationship between the concentration of the component and the absorption of the prescribed wavelength (S4, S51); if the prescribed standard is not satisfied, the oil concentration value is determined on the basis of the wavelength within the absorbance spectrum at which the absorbance becomes a prescribed absorbance and a second calibration curve indicating the relationship between the concentration of the component and the wavelength at the prescribed absorbance (S4, S52). |
