The tampon applicator (1) comprises: an outer tube (2); an inner tube (3), which, by being inserted into the outer tube, extrudes the absorbent (4) inside the outer tube; and an auxiliary gripping member (10). An opening is formed at one end of the outer tube, and a gripping part (7), which the user grasps, is formed at the other end of the outer tube. The auxiliary gripping member (10) comprises a cover (11) that covers the outer circumferential surface of the outer tube gripping part, and a flange (12) that extends radially outward from the outer circumferential surface (11a) of the cover. Projections (5) that protrude radially outward are formed on the outer circumferential surface of the gripping part. Interlocking parts (13), which catch the projections and restrict the movement of the auxiliary gripping member relative to the outer tube in the insertion direction, are formed on the inner circumferential surface of the cover. |
