<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight resin-finished woven fabric suitable for an air bag having low air permeability performances under a high pressure such as 100 kPa differential pressure which is not obtained at levels of usually coating interstices among fibers. <P>SOLUTION: The woven fabric for the air bag has 2,000-2,500 value of cover factor. In a method for applying a resin, only an impregnation treatment with an aqueous emulsion is carried out. The resin is present in the interstices among single yarn filaments located on the face side and back side of the woven fabric. The amount of the resin applied to the woven fabric is 5-25 g/m<SP>2</SP>and air permeability under 100 kPa differential perssure is 1×10<SP>-3</SP>to 5×10<SP>-1</SP>L/cm<SP>2</SP>/min. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
