PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily switch, through simple operation, indications of an image grouped for a predetermined unit such as a date, an image registered as a favorite image and further, an image desired to be shared. SOLUTION: An image display apparatus includes: a storage unit 4; a control unit 1 presenting an event clustering function 2a for grouping image data groups with close dates and times of photographing, in a plurality of image data items, as an event, a favorite registering function 2b for registering at least one of the plurality of image data items as a favorite item, a share mark registering function 2c for performing share mark registration, an attribute information generating function 2d for generating predetermined attribute information, and a display control function 2e for performing display control based on modes of an event display mode, a favorite display mode and a share mark display mode on the basis of the attribute information; and a display unit 5 for performing display under the respective modes.
