PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in the conventional apparatus that it is not possible to standardize cables, when the number of servo units is changed according to their purposes in the conventional manner, and therefore those cables are specified for each number constitution of the servo units being facilities, and the problem that it is necessary to change all the servo units linked to the lower rank as necessary since it is necessary to match a communication interface circuit inside the servo unit with the characteristics of a host controller side. SOLUTION: This servo system constituted of one host controller 1 and an arbitrary number of servo units 3a,..., 3n is provided with specific equipment 2 (converter) on which a transmission path constituted of a CPU 10 and a bus driver 17 to be utilized for communication with an IF circuit 11 (an IC 12 for an I/F and a buffer 13) for communication is loaded and communication cables 5 and 6 for connecting the host controller 1 to bus drivers 18a,..., 18n and address/data buses 14a,..., 14n and CPU 15a,..., 15n for servo control and power circuit plus various FB circuits 16a,..., 16n and each unit.
