PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing belt which prevents the occurrence of the deformation of the belt, hardly gives rise to buckling and tearing, and is excellent in durability even in continuous high-speed passing of paper. SOLUTION: The fixing belt has a polyimide layer which is 90 to 120 Hv in Vickers hardness of the surface of the polyimide layer. The fixing belt preferably has a rubber elastic layer or a fluororesin release layer or further both thereof on an outer peripheral surface of the polyimide layer.
