The device has a drilling head (1), and a linear drive for drilling head, where the drilling head exhibits a heating element for heating earth surrounding the drilling head. The heating element is arranged between a drilling head front part (3) and a drilling cap collar (9) in a section of the drilling head. The heating element has a microwave radiations producing device for producing microwave radiations, a microwave heating wire (7) and a magnetron (6) for production of microwaves. A fluid supply and outlets for fluid are provided in the drilling head. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an earth drilling.
