PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide immortalized cell line derived from thread-sail filefish.SOLUTION: Provided is a cell line or its subcultured line derived from a body part of a fish belonging to family Monacanthidae of which subculture has substantially no limitation. Also provided is a pluripotent stem cells derived from thread-sail filefish (Stephanolepis cirrhifer). Also provided is a cell line or its subcultured line derived from a body part of a fish belonging to family Monacanthidae that is positive for at least one cellar marker selected from the group consisting of TRA-1-60, OCT4 and SSEA-3, or a method for producing a giant cocoon-like colony formed by the above-mentioned cells.
