PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an alumina cement composition good in fluidity, capable of providing a long pot life and ensuring a moderate curing time and good strength developing properties and to provide a prepared unshaped refractory using the same alumina cement composition. SOLUTION: This alumina cement composition contains calcium aluminate and a succinic acid type copolymer or contains the calcium aluminate, α-alumina and the succinic acid type copolymer. Furthermore, the composition contains a defoaming agent. The prepared unshaped refractory contains the alumina cement composition and a refractory aggregate. |
