<p>Word recognition by means of a character recognition result is comprised of the steps for carrying out recognition processing for each character of an input character train corresponding to a word to be recognized, seeking an emergence probability of a feature obtained as a result of the character recognition on condition of each character of each word in a word dictionary where candidates of a word to be recognized are stored in advance, dividing this emergence probability by an emergency probability of a feature obtained as a result of the character recognition, multiplying each divided result sought for each character of each word in the word dictionary by all the characters, adding each multiplied result to each word in the word dictionary, dividing each multiplied result sought for each word in the word dictionary by the added result, and obtaining a recognition result of the word from the immediately above divided result.</p> |
