PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller and an energy saving control system capable of reducing energy consumption by equipment within a range user's comfort and user-friendliness are ensured.SOLUTION: When a monitor section 121 determines that an air conditioner 21 is in a non-energy saving state, a controller 1 controls a notification section 122 to display a notification screen on a TV 4. A selection section 123 selects whether an energy saving control should be executed to set the air conditioner 21 to an energy saving mode according to an operation input made by a user through an operation and input section. When the selection section 123 selects execution of the energy saving control, the execution section 124 controls the air conditioner 21 to execute the energy saving control. When the air conditioner 21 enters into the energy saving mode according to an operation directly made on the air conditioner 21 by the user before execution of the energy saving control from the notification, the cancelling section 126 cancels the execution processing of the energy saving control. |
