A method of supplying information to broadcast receiver (41 to 45) being connected to a digital broadcast network (5) comprises the following steps: assigning virtual IP-subnets (5') and corresponding virtual IP-network address parts to said digital broadcast network (5) and/or parts thereof and/or services offered via said digital broadcast network, assigning virtual IP-hosts (4'1 to 4'5) and corresponding virtual IP-host address parts to said broadcast receiver (41 to 45), encapsulating information to be supplied to a specific broadcast receiver into IP-packets comprising the virtual IP-network address part and the virtual IP-host address part assigned to said specific broadcast receiver, and broadcasting said IP-packets via said digital broadcast network (5).
