A method for supplying a mobile financial service by extracting financial information from an SMS(Short Message Service) message and a mobile communication terminal are provided to automatically extract information on the other user from an SMS message sent by the other user so as to use the extracted information for a mobile financial service, thus a user does not have to input the information by inconveniently operating a key input unit. A key input unit(100) has a special key for driving a card manager application interworking with a smart card which conducts financial transactions. A display(102) displays an operated state of a terminal, and displays a mobile financial service interworking with the smart card. A program storage(104) is mounted with a real-time OS(Operating System), terminal call processing software, and the card manager application. A mode state storage(106) stores the current operation mode of the terminal as a state flag. A microprocessor(116) controls a process of providing the mobile financial service by driving the card manager application. A smart card mounting unit(114) is mounted with the smart card which stores user information necessary for providing the mobile financial service.
