<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten thawing time in freezing of a water tank, early detect an accurate water level, and quicken drainage control starting possible time. <P>SOLUTION: A gas-liquid separator includes a gas-liquid separating part 20 for separating fuel gas and liquid water; a water tank 21 for storing separated liquid water; and a water level sensor 14 for detecting a water level in the water tank 21. The water tank 21 has a large diameter part 22 in the upper part, a small diameter part 24 in the lower part, and a tapered part 23 connecting them. A drain valve 15 is controlled so that when a fuel cell is operated, a water level is kept between an upper limit water level and a lower limit water level in the large diameter part 22, and when the operation is stopped, the water level becomes a stopping water level in the small diameter part 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
