PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel device that can suppress the execution of information processing not intended by a user on the basis of incorrect operation by the user, and an image forming apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: An incorrect operation determination unit 103 determines whether or not gestures detected by a gesture detection unit 101 are due to incorrect operation by a user. A priority determination unit 104 determines the priority of the gestures on the basis of a result of the determination by the incorrect operation determination unit 103. When the gesture detection unit 101 detects a plurality of gestures from simultaneous touch inputs, an information processing unit 106 determines a gesture to be received on the basis of the priority, and executes predetermined information processing corresponding to the determined gesture. |
