PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve smoother power transmitting operation in a shaft coupling of a type in which power is transmitted through the medium of spherical bodies rolling in guide grooves disposed mutually orthogonal between two parallel shafts. SOLUTION: Cross-sectional shapes in the width direction of guide grooves 5, 6 provided to the opposed surfaces of plates 1, 2 coupled to two parallel shafts respectively are formed by two symmetrical arc surfaces 5a, 6a having a radius of curvature longer than that of a steel ball 3 arranged in intersecting position of both guide grooves 5, 6 and simultaneously coming into contact with the steel ball 3 from both sides in the width of the groove. By restricting the movement of the steel ball 3 in the width direction of the guide groove, occurrence of wobble in the axial direction inside the coupling can be prevented so as to achieve smooth power transmission.
