<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor temperature estimation device which can estimate the temperature of a polyphase motor correctly in principle while taking account of the temperature difference of each phase coil of the polyphase motor and the rotational speed of the motor. <P>SOLUTION: A temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of a control board for controlling a polyphase motor inputs a detection temperature, a temperature estimation model of each phase is constituted based on heat conduction phenomenon between arbitrary phases caused by temperature difference of each phase coil of the polyphase motor and heat conduction phenomenon of the control board, and the resistance and inductance of a temperature estimation model of each phase are corrected by each temperature estimation value thereof thus estimating the coil temperature of each phase of the polyphase motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
