PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire saw giving excellent grinding capability through preventing the biased wear of beads and effectively utilizing the grinding surface of the beads. SOLUTION: In the wire saw 1, columnar beads 3 are fixed in a large number on the wire 2 and the wire 2 has a rubber coating. The beads 3 are formed by being provided with the abrasive particle layer 5 on the outer periphery of the beads mount 4. When the beads 3 are seen from the running direction side of the wire saw 1, a plurality of the grind particles 6 are aggregated, and the aggregates of the grind particles are located to the circumferential direction at spaces apart.
