PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device of applying a mold release liquid to a bladder for tire vulcanization capable of shortening an applying time by causing no problem of scattering of the mold release liquid. SOLUTION: The method of applying the mold release liquid to the bladder for the tire vulcanization comprises the step for attaching the mold release liquid on the inner surface 1a of a cylindrical transfer mold 1, the step for inserting the bladder 8 for tire vulcanization into the transfer mold 1, and the step for transferring the mold release liquid where the inserted bladder 8 for the tire vulcanization is inflated to attach to the inner surface 1a of the transfer mold 1 onto the outer surface 8a of the bladder 8 for the tire vulcanization. The applying device has the cylindrical transfer mold 1 for transferring the mold release liquid on the outer surface 8a of the bladder 8 for the tire vulcanization, an attaching means 3 for attaching the mold release liquid on the inner surface 1a of the transfer mold 1, and a moving means 4 for moving the transfer mold 1 to the bladder 8 for the tire vulcanization of a tire vulcanizer.
