PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep solid oil in a liquefied state so as to cope with a timing for requiring oil to be added and to reduce a running cost related to liquefaction of the solid oil.SOLUTION: A fryer 1 includes: an oil tank 3 storing cooking oil; heating means heating the cooking oil; an oil container arrangement part 41 arranging a 18-liter can 42 storing solid oil in a lower position than the oil tank 3; an electric heater 43 heating the solid oil in the 18-liter can 42 from a bottom face side; oil supply means including a second suction branch pipe 38 inserted into a lower area in the 18-liter can 42 arranged in the oil container arrangement part 41 and supplying the solid oil liquefied by heat of the electric heater 43 from the 18-liter can 42 to the oil tank 3; a temperature retention thermistor 44 detecting a temperature of the solid oil in a lower area in the 18-liter can 42; and a controller 25 controlling electric conduction to the electric heater 43 based on a detected temperature of the solid oil in the lower area by the temperature retention thermistor 44 and keeping the temperature of the solid oil in the lower area at a predetermined temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
