PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manage a communication system.SOLUTION: A communication device comprises: an optical filter 14 for outputting signal light at a prescribed wavelength of received signal light; a converter 123 for performing photo-electric conversion of the signal light output by the optical filter 14; a linear amplifier 124 for amplifying a signal that has gone through the photo-electric conversion; a reception processing unit 121 for applying a reception process to the signal amplified by the linear amplifier 124; a logarithmic amplifier 125 for amplifying the signal that has gone through the photo-electric conversion; a power detector 122 for detecting the power of the signal light output by the optical filter on the basis of the signal amplified by the logarithmic amplifier 125; and transmission units 17 and 110 for setting a control signal that controls the wavelength of laser light used for generation of signal light at a prescribed wavelength so that another communication device controls the wavelength of the laser light on the basis of the detected power if the signal light is not normally received by the reception process, and for transmitting the control signal to the other communication device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
