PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the two-dimensional code reader which can read a two-dimensional code out without using any visible light beam. SOLUTION: The two-dimensional code reader 3 is provided above the two-dimensional code 1 printed on a paper label, a metal plate, etc., and an image of the two-dimensional code 1 is put in the visual field of the lens 3a provided at the tip part. A CCD element 4 is provided in the two-dimensional code reader 3. Further, an infrared-ray LED lamp 5 which emits infrared rays of about 950 nm in wavelength and a power source 6 for lighting are provided as a lighting means used to light up the two-dimensional code 1. |
