A fixing unit, an image forming apparatus with the same, and a method for controlling temperature in the fixing unit are provided to enable a control unit to control temperature of a heat roller or a caloric value on the basis of measured values of first and second temperature sensors, thereby improving printing speed by reducing FPOT(First Page Out Time) in comparison with an existing case and preventing an initial fixation defect caused by performing fixation in a state without reaching fixing temperature. A fixing unit(140) comprises the followings: a heat roller(141) which includes a heat source within the inside; a pressure roller(145) which adheres closely to the heat roller(141) and forms a fixed nip; a first temperature sensor(147) which measures temperature of the outer circumference of the heat roller(141); a second temperature sensor(148) which measures temperature of the outer circumference of the pressure roller(145); and a controller(150) which controls temperature of the heat roller(141) or a caloric value on the basis of the measured values of the first and second temperature sensors(147,148).
