PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance measurement system capable of reliably measuring changes in capacitance of a sensing element even when the changes are minute.SOLUTION: A capacitance measurement system includes: an oscillator circuit having a resonant circuit including a capacitor; a sensing element including a first conductor connected to the resonant circuit; a frequency converter for down-converting an output frequency of the oscillator circuit; a frequency detector for detecting an output frequency of the frequency converter; and a capacitance detector for detecting changes in capacitance of the sensing element on the basis of changes in frequency detected by the frequency detector. A space adjacent to the first conductor is designated as a measurement target space for detecting the changes in the capacitance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
