PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for inspecting that a driver circuit having no arithmetical function and an arithmetic unit is in a normally communicated state by a simple method efficiently, in a vehicle control device in which the driver circuit and an arithmetic unit communicate with each other.SOLUTION: The vehicle control device transmits inspection data as a control command from an arithmetic unit to a driver circuit. The driver circuit replies inversion inspection data formed by bit inverting the inspection data to the arithmetic unit. The arithmetic unit uses the inspection data and the inversion inspection data for inspecting whether the arithmetic unit and the driver circuit communicate with each other normally or not.
