PURPOSE:To form a circularly polarized wave antenna which is excellent in axial ratio over a wide angle range by combining arc-like 1/4-wavelength micro strip antennas and controlling the E- and H-plane directivities. CONSTITUTION:When any one of four elements A1-A4 are excited, linearly polarized waves are obtained, but, when the intervals among the four elements A1-A4 are adjusted at the time of excitation, linearly polarized waves whose E- and H-plane directivities are consistent over a wide angle range are obtained. When the element adjacent to the element is excited after its phase is changed by 90 deg. thereafter, linearly polarized waves which have consistent E- and H-plane directivities over a wide angle range and intersect the above-mentioned linearly polarized waves at right angles are also obtained. By using the two kinds of linearly polarized waves, a circularly polarized wave antenna which is wider in angle and excellent in axial ratio can be constituted. |
