PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistor for which productivity can be improved, and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: In order to achieve the purpose, this resistor has a resistor body 11 made of a metal plate, and a plate-like metal terminal 12 formed to be bent in a U-shape so as to sandwich both the ends of the resistor body 11.
