<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a color filter which unnecessitates an absorption layer of ink, has satisfactory size precision capable of responding to a large screen, can be formed at a low cost, has no color irregularity and is high-definition. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing color filter comprises at least: a process (a) of forming partitioned barrier walls by printing a prescribed pattern on a transparent substrate according to a printing method; a process (b) of washing the transparent substrate; a process (c) of subjecting the barrier wall surface to ink-repelling treatment; and a process (d) of forming a colored layer and forming a printed pattern by discharging ink with an inkjet printer to regions partitioned by the barrier walls on the transparent substrate, wherein resin compositions forming the barrier walls include a black pigment and an ink-repellent material.
